Bedroom · Wall Panels
The wall behind the bed is the one you look at last thing at night. A panelled wall gives it texture, hides patchy plaster and can carry bedside lights and switches neatly.

In short
For most bedrooms in Goa, a fluted or plain panel in PVC or WPC behind the bed is the most practical choice: it is moisture-tolerant, easy to wipe and does not mind the monsoon. Fix it on battens with an air gap if the wall is an outside one, and plan bedside light and switch positions before the panels go up.
What your bedroom asks of wall panels

We bring samples to your home, hold them to your light and measure every opening — anywhere in North or South Goa.
Behind the bed is almost always the right answer. It is the wall you face when you walk in, and the headboard sits against it. Panelling it from floor to ceiling looks generous; panelling it to about 1.2 metres, with paint or wallpaper above, suits a room with a lower ceiling.
Avoid panelling every wall in a small bedroom — the room starts to feel like a cabin. One wall, carefully detailed, does more.
PVC and WPC panels tolerate humidity and do not rot, which matters on laterite or plastered walls that take in moisture over the monsoon. MDF-based decorative panels look sharp but need a dry wall and a sealed finish; they are better on an inside wall.
Solid wood is beautiful but moves with humidity and needs treatment against termites. If you want real wood, we usually suggest it on an inside partition wall rather than an outside one.
If the wall has damp patches, the panels should not be glued straight onto it. We fix a frame of battens, leaving a gap behind the panels for air, and finish the edges cleanly at the ceiling and the skirting. This hides patchy plaster and keeps the panel off the moisture — but it does not cure the damp, so leaks and seepage should be fixed first.
A strip of warm light along the top or behind the edges of a fluted wall makes the bedroom glow in the evening without a bright overhead light. Wall-mounted reading lamps either side of the bed free up bedside tables. Tell us where the electrician wants to run wires and we will leave access.
In Goa
Laterite walls absorb water through the monsoon and release it slowly. A panel glued tight to that wall traps the moisture and can lift or stain. On any outside bedroom wall in Goa, insist on a batten frame and an air gap.
Before panelling, look for the signs: peeling paint near the skirting, a musty smell behind the wardrobe, salt bloom on the plaster. Fix the cause first. Panels hide a wall; they do not dry it.

FAQ
For most bedrooms, PVC or WPC panels — fluted or plain — because they handle humidity well and are easy to wipe. Upholstered panels suit an inside wall where you want softness behind the bed.
They can hide stains and uneven plaster, but they do not cure damp. Fix leaks and seepage first, then fit the panels on battens with an air gap behind them.
Panels on battens add a thin layer of insulation and can slightly reduce heat from a sun-facing wall. The effect is modest; window treatments matter more for temperature.
Yes. We cut and finish around switches and sockets, or bring them forward on extension boxes so they sit flush with the panel face.
