Conference Room in Goa
A conference room has a short, demanding brief. In one hour it may host a client walk-in with daylight and a view, a slide presentation that needs the projector to read clearly, and a video call where everyone's face has to be lit evenly and their voice picked up without echo. The windows and walls decide whether all three work, or whether people squint at a washed-out screen and repeat themselves to a remote colleague.
In Goa these rooms are often in buildings with large glazing, and the sea or highway light from the west can turn a screen grey by mid-afternoon. Hotel and resort meeting rooms add another layer: the same room hosts a wedding planning session in the morning and a corporate offsite in the afternoon, and has to look polished for both.
We plan conference rooms around the screen. Where it sits, which window lights it and the faces in front of it, how dark the room must get, and which surfaces bounce sound — then we choose blinds, curtains and wall panels that fix each problem, with controls simple enough for any presenter to use.

Fit a double roller system on each window: a screen-fabric blind for daytime meetings and a blackout or dim-out blind behind it for presentations.

Use a sheer and a blackout-lined curtain on a double ceiling track, with a ripple-fold heading and generous overlap at the centre and the edges.

Motorise a conference room when it has several windows, a long glass wall or frequent presentations.

Put acoustic panels on the walls facing each other and on the rear wall opposite the screen, at seated head height, and use a slatted wood or fabric-faced panel around the screen as the room's feature.

FAQ
Dim-out is enough for most modern displays and keeps the room usable for note-taking. Choose full blackout if you use a projector in a room with strong direct sun, or if the room doubles as a training room with video.
Motorised blinds and curtains can usually be controlled from a wall keypad and, depending on the system, from an AV control panel. We coordinate with your AV installer at planning stage.
