This policy explains what information Drapehaus collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
When you submit the enquiry form we collect the name and contact details you provide, together with anything you choose to write in the message field. We collect this only because you have chosen to send it to us.
If you contact us by telephone, email or messaging instead, we hold whatever you share in that conversation for the same purpose and on the same basis.
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type as part of serving pages and maintaining security. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
Solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit, prepare a quote and carry out any work you go on to instruct. If you become a customer, we keep records relating to that work so we can support it afterwards — for example, knowing what was specified in a room when you ask us to match or repair it years later.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
Only the people who need to in order to do the work. That may include the service providers who host this website and handle email delivery on our behalf, who process information only on our instructions.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only for as long as there is a realistic prospect of the conversation continuing, and are then deleted.
Where work is carried out, we keep the records associated with it for as long as we may reasonably need them — to honour aftercare, to match a future repair, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
We sometimes take photographs of completed work. We will not publish any image of your property, or anything that identifies you or your address, without your permission. If you give permission and later change your mind, tell us and we will remove it.
We use analytics (Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand which pages are read, how visitors find us and where the site could work better. These tools set cookies that count visits and may record how a page is used, with anything typed into forms masked. We do not use them for advertising and do not sell the data. You can block these cookies in your browser without affecting the site.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page. We will not apply a material change retrospectively to information you gave us under an earlier version without telling you.
