For hospitality & business
Cottages scattered through a coconut grove, villas a short walk from the sand, a reception pavilion open on three sides. A resort asks more of its soft furnishings than any single house does — and it asks it forty times over.

Resort in Goa
A Goan resort is spread out. Guest rooms sit in cottages, villas or low blocks across the grounds, each with its own exposure: one row faces the sea and takes salt and the full afternoon sun, another sits under trees and stays damp well after the rains stop. The same curtain fabric can look fresh in one cottage and tired in the next after a single season, simply because of where it hangs.
Much of a resort is also half-outdoors. Verandas, pool decks, open-sided restaurants and spa pavilions blur the line between inside and out, and guests walk in from the beach with sand, sunscreen and wet swimwear. Anything that sits there — a sofa, a blind, a panel — has to tolerate that, every day of the season.
Then there is timing. Most properties refurbish in the quiet months before the season opens, when rooms can be taken out of inventory in batches. We plan resort work around that window: a site survey of every room type, a mock-up room signed off first, then a rollout block by block so that cottage twelve matches cottage one, and the specification is written down for the next refurbishment.

For most resort guest rooms in Goa, fit a breathable sheer and a lined or blackout curtain on a double aluminium track, in a fire-retardant contract fabric chosen for sun-fastness.

Use blinds where fabric curtains would get wet, sandy or in the way: bamboo chik or outdoor blinds on veranda edges, blackout rollers behind guest-room curtains to close the light gaps, and wipe-clean PVC or faux-wood blinds in bathrooms.

Motorise the openings that are too tall, too wide or too numerous to draw by hand, and leave the rest manual.

Use WPC or PVC panels where walls get damp or are cleaned often, fluted or timber-look panels for headboard and reception features, louvers to screen services and outdoor showers, and acoustic panels in restaurants and event spaces.

FAQ
Yes. We phase the work block by block, pre-assemble curtains and blinds off site, and coordinate with housekeeping so that only the rooms being fitted are out of inventory.
We recommend it for any multi-room job. One room is fitted completely and signed off by the owner or manager before the rest of the property is cut and made.
