Luxury Villa · Curtains
Curtains that run the full height of a double-height room, sit in a recess in the ceiling and move in clean, even folds — detailed with the architecture rather than hung after it.

Time of day
Two layers on a double track: the sheer stays drawn for the day, the blackout closes over it at night. The most flexible answer for a bedroom.
In short
For a luxury villa, plan curtains at the ceiling stage: recessed or ceiling-fixed tracks, ripple-fold headings, wide-width sheers that avoid vertical seams on tall glass, and weighted hems that hang straight. Specify one coordinated fabric scheme for the house and choose fabrics that hold their colour and shape in Goan light and humidity.
What your luxury villa asks of curtains

We bring samples to your home, hold them to your light and measure every opening — anywhere in North or South Goa.
In a designed villa, the most important curtain decision is made by the carpenter, not the tailor. A track recess needs to be wide enough for a double track, deep enough to hide the gliders, and run past the glass on both sides so the stack has somewhere to go. Agree the width and depth before the false ceiling is framed.
Where a recess isn't possible — under a timber ceiling or a concrete slab left exposed — a slim ceiling-fixed track in a finish matched to the ceiling is the next best thing. Avoid wall brackets on double-height glass; they look like an afterthought.
Most luxury villas are seen in long views — from the entrance through the living room to the pool, or down from a gallery. Choose one sheer for all the glass that is seen together, and let the lined curtains in each suite carry its own colour within a shared palette.
Texture does more than colour at this level. A slubbed linen sheer, a heavier woven linen for the lined layer and a velvet in the media room can sit in the same tone and still give every room its own character.
Natural silk rots and fades in strong sun and salt air, and pale velvets mark in humidity. For tall, sun-facing glass, look at linen blends and high-quality linen-look polyesters for sheers, and protect any delicate face fabric with a lining.
Ask to see each fabric hung full-length on site, in the morning and the late afternoon. A sample the size of a hand tells you almost nothing about how a seven-metre drop will look against the sea.
Curtains in an automated villa usually connect to lighting scenes and climate control. Even if motors are added later, run power to each recess now. Our motorised page for luxury villas covers integration in detail.
In Goa
Large glazed walls in Goa run with condensation on humid mornings, especially when the air-conditioning is on inside. Hang tall curtains a few centimetres clear of the glass and the floor so the hems don't wick moisture, and keep the room ventilated on dry days.
On sea-facing elevations, use aluminium tracks with stainless or coated fittings, and check the gliders when the house opens after the rains. A villa that will be closed for months benefits from our take-down and storage service for the most valuable curtains.

FAQ
From a track recessed in or fixed to the ceiling, using wide-width fabric so there are no vertical seams, with weighted hems to keep the drop straight. Most double-height curtains are also motorised for practical reasons.
Ripple-fold for contemporary rooms and wide glass; hand-finished pinch or goblet pleats for more classic or formal spaces. We often use both in the same house.
Yes. We work from drawings and specifications, propose alternatives where a fabric won't suit Goan conditions, and coordinate with the site team.
Rarely on sun-facing glass. Silk fades and weakens in strong light and humidity. A lined silk in a shaded, air-conditioned room can work; otherwise a linen blend gives a similar richness with less risk.
Yes. We schedule fitting around painting, flooring and automation so the curtains go up last, in a clean house.
