When a façade has thirty windows, the glass is three metres high, or nobody remembers to lower the blinds before the afternoon sun arrives, a motor does the job every day without being asked.

Two layers on a double track: the sheer stays drawn for the day, the blackout closes over it at night. The most flexible answer for a bedroom.
In short
Motorise office shading where windows are tall, runs are long, or a whole façade should move together. Group blinds by façade on wall switches, add a timer or sun schedule for the hot side, and plan power points and a backup for Goa's power cuts before the ceilings are closed.

Wired motors are the right choice for a new fit-out or a refurbishment where the electrician is already on site: they need a power point near each head rail, but they never need charging and they handle large, heavy blinds. They are best planned before false ceilings and wall finishes are closed.
Battery or rechargeable motors suit an existing office where chasing cables into finished walls is not acceptable. They are ideal for a few hard-to-reach windows rather than an entire façade, because someone has to keep them charged.
Think in zones. All windows on one façade usually belong in one group; each meeting room is its own group; the reception might be a third. Wall switches beside the door are easiest for staff and visitors, and a central controller lets the facilities manager move the whole building at once.
Timers and sun schedules are where motorisation pays back in comfort: the west façade lowers itself before the afternoon heat, and the morning floor stays bright. Many systems also connect to building management or smart-office platforms if your fit-out uses one.
Decide what should happen when the power fails. Wired motors stop where they are, so a blind that was down stays down. Putting shading circuits on the inverter or UPS, or choosing battery motors for the windows that matter most, avoids a dark or sun-baked office during an outage.
Motors are also quieter and kinder to fabric than people tugging on chains, so a motorised blind usually stays straight and clean for longer.
A small office with four reachable windows and a manual chain blind on each does not need motors. Spend where it matters — tall glass, long runs, rooms that change state several times a day — and keep simple manual controls elsewhere.
In Goa
Motors and control units live in head boxes near the glass, where monsoon condensation is worst. Ask for sealed head rails, keep the electrical connections inside the ceiling void rather than on the window reveal, and make sure the window seals are sound before the motors go in.
In buildings close to the sea, salt gets into everything. Aluminium tracks and rails and stainless fixings keep corrosion away from the moving parts, which matters more on a motorised system than a manual one.

FAQ
For tall glass, long runs and whole façades, yes: they get used properly, look uniform and last longer because no one yanks the chain. For a handful of small windows, manual blinds are fine.
Wired motors stop where they are until power returns. Connect them to an inverter or UPS, or use battery motors on key windows, if you need them to work during outages.
Yes. Schedules can lower the sunny façade before the afternoon heat and raise it later, and some systems follow the sun's position automatically.
Sometimes, depending on the roller and head rail. We will check during the survey and tell you whether converting or replacing makes more sense.
