Flat & Apartment · Sofas
A flat sofa has to fit the room, fit through the door and the lift, and often turn into a bed when family arrives. Made to measure, it can do all three.

Avoid: Anything you cannot clean in place, on a piece used every day. Rub count is one number among several — weave, colour-fastness and how a fabric handles humidity matter as much. We bring samples to see in your room.
In short
For a typical Goan apartment, a three-seater with slim arms, or a compact L-shape tucked into a corner, gives the most seating per square metre. Keep the depth modest, raise it on legs so the room feels larger, and choose performance fabrics with removable covers. If guests stay, consider a sofa-cum-bed.
What your flat asks of sofas

We bring samples to your home, hold them to your light and measure every opening — anywhere in North or South Goa.
Before choosing a sofa, measure the lift interior, the front door, the corridor and any tight turn on the stairs. Then measure the wall where it will sit and the space needed to walk past it. We take all of these on the visit and design the sofa — or split it into sections — so it reaches your living room.
Raised legs that show the floor beneath, a low back, slim arms and a seat depth that suits how you sit all make a sofa look lighter. A large, deep sofa with heavy arms can fill a flat's living room even when it fits on paper.
Colour helps too. A mid-tone sofa against a pale wall feels calm and doesn't show every mark; a very dark sofa in a small room can feel heavy.
A good sofa-cum-bed sits like a sofa and sleeps like a bed. Check the mattress thickness, the height when open, and whether there is room in front of the sofa to open it — a coffee table may have to move. For a flat that hosts guests regularly, it is worth getting this right.
Many flat living rooms in Goa are closed up with the AC on for much of the day. Cool, dry air is kind to upholstery, but the change between an AC room and a humid evening with the balcony door open can leave a sofa feeling clammy. Woven fabrics with some natural fibre stay comfortable either way; shiny synthetics and rexine can feel sticky in the humid hours.
If you live in the flat, choose the fabric and frame you love; it will last. If you are furnishing a flat to let, choose a durable frame, a neutral performance fabric, and a fitted cover that can be washed or replaced between tenants.
In Goa
Flats left locked through the monsoon — common for owners who live abroad or let seasonally — trap humid air. Upholstery can develop a musty smell or spots. Choose fabrics that breathe, leave windows on a safe latch if possible, and consider a dehumidifier or a monthly airing.
Leather and rexine sofas are especially prone to mould in a closed, damp flat; fabric with a performance finish is easier to care for.

FAQ
Usually a three-seater with slim arms or a compact L-shape, built to the length of your wall. We measure the room and the route into the flat before designing it.
Yes. Larger sofas can be made in sections that join in the room, so they pass through lifts and narrow doors.
A well-made one is comfortable as both. Check the mattress, the seat and the space needed to open it.
A durable performance fabric in a neutral colour, ideally with a fitted washable cover.
Often yes, with the owner's agreement. A fitted cover or a full reupholstery can make a tired rental sofa feel new without replacing the frame.
Yes, across North and South Goa, including apartment complexes in Panjim, Porvorim, Margao, Vasco and Dona Paula.
