Alternating sheer and solid bands: slide them into line for light and a filtered view, offset them for privacy.
In short
On shopfront glass, fit sunscreen roller blinds that cut sun and fading while passers-by can still see in. In salons, use zebra or vertical blinds to angle light away from mirrors. In spa and treatment rooms, pair a blackout roller with a softer fabric blind. Choose wipeable fabrics throughout.
What your showroom, salon or spa asks of blinds

We bring samples to your home, hold them to your light and measure every opening — anywhere in North or South Goa.
A showroom on a west-facing road takes the full afternoon sun on its glass. Over a season that bleaches upholstery fabrics, dries leather, yellows timber and fades printed boxes. A sunscreen roller blind, in an open-mesh fabric, filters a large part of the sun and heat while people outside can still see the display — especially when the shop is lit inside.
Choose the openness of the fabric for the balance you want: a more open weave keeps the window more transparent; a tighter one gives more protection. A darker colour facing the street usually gives the clearest view in.
In a salon, the problem is often not the window but its reflection. A bright window behind the client or opposite the mirror throws glare straight into both the stylist's and the client's eyes. Zebra blinds let you close the bands just enough to soften that light; vertical blinds turn to angle it away from the mirror line. Both keep the room bright.
Check the problem at different times of day before choosing — the glare from a west window may only be an issue in the late afternoon, but that is often the busiest time.
A spa treatment room needs privacy and calm. A blackout roller blind fitted tight in the window reveal gives complete privacy and darkness. Paired with a translucent fabric blind or a sheer curtain in front, the therapist can choose between darkness and a soft glow. Side channels close the light gaps at the edges.
Beauty and nail rooms are different: the therapist needs good, even daylight on the client's face or hands, without being overlooked. A light-filtering roller or a top-down blind — open at the top for light, closed at the bottom for privacy — suits them better than full blackout.
Salons and spas are humid, and product and hairspray settle on everything. Choose polyester or PVC-coated blind fabrics and aluminium or PVC slats that wipe clean. Avoid natural fabrics and wood in steam rooms and wet areas.
In showrooms, dust and fingerprints are the main issue. Choose a fabric colour that doesn't show dust and a blind that can be wiped in place.
In Goa
Goan shopfronts often face roads with no shade, and strong sun from March to May is harsh on displays. Through the monsoon, humidity affects blind fabrics and mechanisms; choose fabrics that dry quickly and hardware that won't rust, especially near the coast.
Shops and salons along the beach belt should use aluminium and stainless hardware to resist salt air.
