Hospital & Clinic · Curtains
Cubicle and privacy curtains for wards, recovery bays, emergency rooms and examination areas — planned so they close completely, come down quickly for laundering and go back up the same day.

Time of day
Near-total darkness — because the pole runs past the window and the curtain overlaps the frame. Light leaks at the edges, not through the fabric.
In short
For most wards and clinics, the right answer is a ceiling-mounted cubicle track following the bed on three sides, with a curtain that has an open mesh panel at the top and a solid, cleanable fabric below. Order at least one spare set per bay so curtains can be rotated through the laundry without leaving a patient unscreened.
What your hospital or clinic asks of curtains

We bring samples to your home, hold them to your light and measure every opening — anywhere in North or South Goa.
We start from the bed, not the ceiling. The track usually runs along both sides and the foot of the bed with a little clearance for staff, monitors and drip stands, and the curtain stacks against the wall at the head when open. In a ward with beds side by side, neighbouring bays can share a run so one curtain screens two patients from each other.
Before anything is drilled we check what is above: false-ceiling grid, light fittings, sprinkler heads, AC diffusers and oxygen or gas lines. Tracks often have to step around these, and the mesh panel height is set so sprinklers can still do their work. Your facilities team or the building's fire drawings settle where those clearances sit.
A typical cubicle curtain has an open mesh band below the track and a solid panel that stops a short distance above the floor. That gap keeps the hem out of the reach of mops and spills and lets cleaners see under the curtain, while still screening anyone on the bed or couch.
Getting the drop right matters more than it sounds. Too long and the hem picks up floor moisture and gets kicked by trolleys; too short and a standing patient can be seen. We measure every bay separately, because floor levels and ceiling heights vary even within one ward.
Disposable or washable is a question for your infection-control policy rather than for us. If curtains are washed, ask what temperature the laundry runs at and choose a fabric that tolerates it without shrinking — a curtain that loses width after three washes stops closing the bay.
The practical answer for most wards is one spare set per bay, or a pool of spares per ward, labelled by size. Curtains come down after a discharge or on a schedule, the clean set goes straight up, and nobody waits for the laundry to return. We can label each curtain with the bay it fits so sets don't get mixed.
Specify the fire performance your building needs, the wash or cleaning method you will use, and whether your policy asks for an antimicrobial-type finish. We will source fabric to that brief and hand over the supplier's documentation, so your team can check it against your requirements rather than relying on a sales description.
Ask too about colour. Plain, mid-tone fabrics show stains clearly, which sounds like a disadvantage but helps staff know when a curtain needs changing. Small patterns and soft colours are often chosen for paediatric and maternity areas to feel less clinical.
In Goa
Ward ceilings in older Goan buildings sometimes show monsoon seepage, and a track fixed into damp plaster or a soft false ceiling will work loose. We fix into sound structure and use aluminium tracks with non-corroding fittings, which matters in hospitals within reach of sea air in Salcete, Bardez and along the coast.
In the wet months curtains in sealed, air-conditioned rooms can stay faintly damp. Keep spare sets dry in a ventilated store rather than a closed cupboard, and rotate them more often between June and September.

FAQ
Usually a tightly woven polyester that tolerates frequent washing, with an open mesh band at the top. The exact fabric should follow your hospital's fire and cleaning requirements, which we source to.
The mesh lets ceiling light, air-conditioning and sprinkler spray reach into the bay while the solid lower part keeps the patient private. Your fire layout decides how deep the mesh band needs to be.
With quick-release hooks or carriers, one person can take a curtain down and hang a clean one in a few minutes without tools. That is why we recommend keeping spare sets.
Yes — consulting rooms, dental clinics, physiotherapy rooms, diagnostic centres and day-care units. A clinic usually needs one short track around the examination couch rather than a full cubicle.
Bring us a sample or a spare curtain and we will match the size, heading and mesh, and source the closest fabric to your specification so new bays sit alongside the old ones.
